Seven fire tenders were sent to the spot and the fire was contained soon after it first broke out.

The fire, which broke out on the third floor, is believed to have been caused by a short circuit.

The incident occurred barely a week after 14 people were killed and 19 others were injured after a major fire broke out in a pub in the Kamala Mills Compound.
